J.D. MURCHISON

President

As the next generation representative of the Murchison family, J.D. Murchison joined the Company’s management team in 2011. Mr. Murchison has 20+ years of experience. From 2007 to 2011, Mr. Murchison worked for the private banking affiliate of Banco Santander in Madrid, Spain. Between 2000 and 2007, he held various progressive positions at Schroders Investment Management and Citigroup. Mr. Murchison holds a BA in Economics from Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

SANA HINES

Chief Financial Officer

Ms. Hines joined the Company in 2015 and has 17+ years of accounting and audit experience. Prior to joining the Company, Ms. Hines served as AVP & Director of Internal Audit at a mid-cap public E&P Company in Dallas, TX. Ms. Hines has served in a variety of roles and experiences such as acquisition and divestitures, complex corporate accounting transactions, financial audits, internal controls and remediation of deficiencies. Ms. Hines holds a BS in Accounting and BS in Finance from the University of Missouri Saint Louis and is a registered CPA.

RUSTY COOPER

Vice President of Operations

Mr. Cooper joined the Company in August 2013, and brings 40+ years of oil and gas operational experience. Throughout his career, Mr. Cooper has worked in various domestic locations including the Mid-Continent, Rocky Mountains, East and South Texas, Onshore and Offshore Gulf Coast, and the Alaska North Slope. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Cooper served as a Drilling and Completions Manager overseeing horizontal drilling in the Permian Basin. Mr. Cooper holds a BS in Petroleum Engineering from Texas Tech University.

Charles Ward

Vice President of Geology

Mr. Ward joined the Company in October of 2013 and brings 10+ years of oil and gas experience specifically within the Permian Basin. Mr. Ward began his career as a geologist with Core Laboratories, Inc. working on core description, saturation analysis, and rock properties for samples worldwide. While working at Murchison, Mr. Ward has identified, evaluated, and implemented multiple successful drilling projects throughout the Permian Basin. Mr. Ward holds an MS in Geology from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin and a BS in Geology from Texas Tech University.

Garrett Jeffery

Senior Reservoir Engineer and Business Development Advisor

Mr. Jeffery joined the Company in January of 2019. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Jeffery worked in a similar capacity with a non-op group spread across every major play in the lower 48. While working at Murchison, Mr. Jeffery has evaluated and advised on all operated and non-operated new drills and has been integral to the Company’s capital raise endeavors. He also manages the Company’s Reserves portfolio. Mr. Jeffery holds a BS in Petroleum Engineering with a Minor in Geology from Texas A&M University.

Peta Maree Pogue

General Counsel and Sr. Landman

Peta Maree Pogue is General Counsel and Sr. Landman at Murchison Oil and Gas and joined the company in 2017. Prior to her start with Murchison,Peta Maree began her career as an in-house landman with XTO Energy in Fort Worth as part of its East Texas operations team. Peta Maree graduated with a BBA in Energy Management with a minor in Finance from the University of Oklahoma and was a member of the Varsity Women’s Tennis Team. During her time at XTO and Murchison, she earned a Juris Doctorate from Texas A&M School of Law with a Business Concentration. Peta Maree is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas, and is a member of the AAPL, FWAPL, DAPL, DYLA, and State Bar of Texas.
